Ladies and gentlemen...

I introduce you to my new favorite summer show, Covert Affairs.

Ooh, this is one of my favs too, and it would've taken the #1 spot except it seems too spread out. Like I felt like I was being forced to care about that blonde boss and Peter Galagher's marriage when they should've just introduced the characters through Piper Perabo's eyes and then a couple eps down the road start hinting at mistrust, cheating, paranoia, etc. It just made no linear sense and smacked of trying to give their vaguely bigger names more story/screen time.

Whoa. Well, that turned into more of a critique than I intended. I still really liked it, and everyone else...just not those two characters' storylines. :)

I agree, actually. And I don't know if it was because my mind has been elsewhere (re: recent events) but the other episodes haven't really interested me anywhere near as much as the pilot did. So I'm not too sure this is my new favorite summer show. The tone of the second episode just felt so different from the first. Maybe I just need to give it another go?

haha That's what this place is for! I'm always commenting on a couple other guys/friends' blogs [like this one], intending to only say one or two things and then I end up writing a mini-review of my own. :) But they love it. They love the discussion and hearing everyone's opinions. As do I. :)
